Mr. Boyd is a native of South Buffalo, New York and a graduate of Saint Martin of Tours Elementary School and Hutchinson Central Technical High School. He earned an undergraduate degree at Canisius College of Buffalo, and graduated with honors from the State University of New York at Buffalo Law School where he completed his Juris Doctor degree.
His role as a Personal Injury Attorney is Mr. Boyd's second career. He is a former television and radio journalist. He spent 10 years as a Reporter and News Anchor for WKBW-TV Eyewitness News, as well as five years as the news voice of the highly successful "Dan Neaverth Show" on WHTT-FM, Oldies 104. Prior to his broadcasting career in Buffalo, Mr. Boyd worked as a News Anchor and Reporter for two television stations in Sioux Falls and Rapid City, South Dakota.
As a Journalist, Mr. Boyd earned high honors, winning the Associated Press' prestigious "General Excellence in Individual Reporting" in 1993. Mr. Boyd has also been nominated for Emmy Awards, and received a Citizen Rescue Award from the City of Niagara Falls after he persuaded a distraught man off the brink of the falls. During his career he also secured interviews with high profile newsmakers such as Presidents William Clinton and George Bush, and former Hostage Terry Anderson.
In 1998 Mr. Boyd was honored by the Bar Association of Erie County for his work in raising awareness about Domestic Violence. Mr. Boyd has lectured in Continuing Legal Education programs of the American Bar Association and the Bar Association of Erie County.
Steve Boyd lives in the City of Buffalo where he resides with his wife Kathleen, also an attorney, and their four children, Jack, Patrick, Stephen and Georgia.
